INTRODUCTION: |
Distribution arresters are used for the protection of apparatus such as distribution transformer,switch cabinet, box type transformer, cable head and less-oil pole switch against damage from atmospheric over-voltage and switching overvoltage.
Station arresters:The station arresters are used for protecting the a.c.electrical equipment or Power plant and substation against damage from the atmospheric overvoltage and the switching over

The arresters for capacitor bank:The arresters for capacitor parallel bank are used for limitting overvoltage generated by the vacuum switch or less-oil switch, when switch on or off capacitors and protecting capacitor parallel bank against damage from switching overvoltage.
The transmission line arresters:The transmission line MOA are the major protective apparatus used for preventing transmission line from being struck by lightning.
